Daniel Gaskey

Daniel Gaskey has always had a lifelong drive to help people, serving as a beacon of strength and direction for his family and friends. This commitment led him to join the Marine Corps in 2003 at the age of 18. During his service in Iraq, he experienced combat-related traumas and losses. In 2009, he transitioned to a career as a firefighter in Odessa, where he worked for five years before joining the Mansfield Fire Department.

Daniel's interest in mental health stems from his personal journey of overcoming traumas from both military combat and his role as a first responder. He has witnessed firsthand the benefits of seeking help to heal physically, mentally, and emotionally. As a husband and father of three boys, Daniel aims to set an example that one can be both strong and tough while prioritizing mental health. This drive has inspired him to pursue a degree to become a Licensed Counselor specializing in Veterans and First Responders, with the goal of helping others facing similar challenges.
